A rare mid-century home recently came to market in the heart of Silicon Valley, and it bears the signature of internationally recognized architect — and Frank Lloyd Wright protégé — Aaron Green.

Originally built in 1966, the home at 3512 Ross Rd. in Palo Alto, California has never underwent any extreme makeovers, with its current owner carefully preserving its mid-century features intact.

In fact, the proud owner has been holding on to the property since it was first built, with the home now being listed for the very first time in half a century.

Currently on the market of $2, 650,000, the 3-bed, 2-bath mid-century home is listed with Nancy Goldcamp, affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

With a most inviting interior, the home packs redwood beams, glass, and concrete block materials which were readily available during the time when the home was built.

When you enter the property, you’re greeted with the quintessential mid-century modern design and aesthetic of the home,” listing agent Nancy Goldcamp said in a statement. “The original owner of this home lovingly cared for this custom dream home, ensuring the integrity of the original architecture was maintained.

Finishes unique to the era include extensive use of mahogany, slab floors with radiant heat, built-in beds, desks and dressers, and Formica counters. The formerly flat terrain was sculpted to create highs and lows for privacy (and added appeal).
