Meg Ryan’s stay at one picture-perfect Bridgehampton estate turned out to be relatively brief — and financially rewarding on paper.
The actress has sold her Hamptons home at 53 Matthews Lane for its full $15.25 million asking price, closing the deal on September 24.
Ryan purchased the property for $13.5 million in 2024, meaning the latest sale came in $1.75 million above what she paid just two years earlier, before accounting for transaction costs or any money invested in the home.
The buyer is Broadway and entertainment producer Henry Tisch, a member of the prominent Tisch family, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Paul Brennan and Martha Gundersen of Douglas Elliman represented Tisch in the transaction, while Evan R. Kulman of Compass represented the listing.
Set on approximately 1.5 acres in Bridgehampton South, the five-bedroom residence spans 6,452 square feet and sits well back from the road on a secluded flag lot reached by a long gated driveway.
That sense of privacy carries throughout the property.
Mature specimen trees and carefully maintained landscaping surround the house, screening much of the estate from neighboring properties while creating a lush backdrop for the pool and outdoor entertaining areas.
Inside, the home leans into a more timeless Hamptons look rather than the stark modernism that has become increasingly common across the East End.
