In the tranquil, upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Bel Air Ridge, a 4-bedroom home recently landed on the market.

And beyond its meticulously renovated interiors, prime location, and generous square footage, what caught our eye is the property’s history. More specifically, its famous past owner: none other than Earth, Wind, and Fire founder and vocalist Maurice White called the place home for well over 40 years.

The house first traded hands a couple of years after Maurice’s passing in 2016. But for over four decades, the beats of Earth, Wind, and Fire echoed through the halls of this now-for-sale home, where Maurice White lived and created some of his most famous tunes.

Ready to pass the torch, this musical landmark is now listed for $3,985,000 with Jill Epstein of Nourmand & Associates and Daniel R. Banchick & Amy Dantzler with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services California Properties.

Home to a music legend for over 40 years

For those of you too young to remember, Maurice White was the founder and leader of Earth, Wind & Fire, one of the most iconic bands of the 1970s and 1980s. Known for blending jazz, R&B, soul, and funk, the band created a sound that was both unique and universally appealing.

Maurice White was not only a talented vocalist and songwriter but also a skilled producer and arranger. He was instrumental in shaping the band’s dynamic performances and hit songs like September, Boogie Wonderland, and Let’s Groove. His work earned the band multiple Grammy Awards and a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

But Maurice White’s influence extends beyond music; he’s remembered as an innovator who brought joy and inspiration to countless fans.

His former Tudor-style home was built in 1978

Located at 10122 Baywood Court in the esteemed Bel Air Ridge community, White’s longtime home sits on a tranquil cul-de-sac overlooking the undeveloped natural beauty of Beverly Glen Park Reserve.

Dating back to 1987, the house perfectly mixes old-world Tudor charm with modern style.
