When it comes to sprawling mansions and oceanfront estates, nothing holds a candle to affluent Palm Beach. This stretch of South Florida is lined with some of the most spectacular estates in the entire country, many of which face the azure waters of the Atlantic Ocean and command mind-boggling, eight-figure prices if not more.

Billionaire Oracle founder Larry Ellison bought himself an $80 million mansion here (that he later tried to sell for $145 million); hedge-fund manager Ken Griffin is building himself a Palm Beach estate so vast that it’s expected to be worth an estimated $1 billion upon completion; and just in recent years, five Palm Beach properties have sold for over (or just a tad under) $100 million.

And over in North Palm Beach, in one of the area’s most sought-after gated communities, a newly listed oceanfront megamansion is looking to attract its own deep-pocketed buyer after landing on the market last week with a hefty $59.5 million asking price.

The oceanfront estate — known as Bel Viaggio — is listed with Palm Beach County expert Chris Leavitt of Douglas Elliman and co-listed with Ryan Serhant of SERHANT. Ready to peek inside?

Inside, we find a total of 9 bedrooms, 12 full and 5 half-baths, a double-story foyer, a grand salon, and a whole suite of luxurious amenities spread across 19,000 square feet of opulent interiors. Adding to the offering is a spacious basement and garage that can comfortably accommodate 9+ cars.

Set at 12088 Banyan Road in North Palm Beach, the property is located in the ultra-exclusive enclave of Seminole Landing — a high-security, gated community of 65 sprawling homes where other billionaires, including Equity Partners CEO Robert F. Smith, hedge fund manager David Tepper, casino mogul Steve Wynn, and coffee magnate Bob Stiller own or have owned property.

This prestigious neighborhood is one of just a few private gated oceanfront communities in the country and has its own private beach, with several homes (this one included) having direct ocean views.

The newly listed, $59.5 million North Palm Beach mansion is mere minutes away from billionaire Larry Ellison’s massive Seminole Landing home, a grand 15,500-square-foot residence with 562 linear feet of ocean frontage.

Bought for a staggering $80 million, that same home was later listed for a mind-boggling $145 million (it has since been taken off the market).

Fittingly dubbed Bel Viaggio — Italian for “a great trip” — the opulent home takes us on a trip of Old World elegance with its grand, ultra-luxurious interiors, which feature design details like hand-painted ceilings, custom millwork, coffered ceilings, and detailed stone fireplaces.

The grand salon consists of two large living areas — each with its own carved stone fireplace — that mirror each other perfectly, creating a unique sense of balance and making the space appear even larger.

Right off the primary bedroom, we find a charming seating area with a fireplace that looks like the perfect spot to enjoy some cozy quiet time and sit down with a good book.

Our favorite part of the primary bedroom suite is the grand walk-in closet, which sets itself apart from the glossy closets we typically find in million-dollar mansions with its sophisticated, carved wood furnishings and warm aesthetics.
