There are those million dollar-views that open up to stunning cityscapes, iconic buildings or great skyline views.
And then there are those that open to nature’s most wonderful gifts. And while I may be a fan of secluded cabins opening to a calm lake, I have to give it up to this Coral Cables mansion that brings water into nearly all of its rooms.
The 20 Tahiti Beach Island home was recently listed for $18.7 million, with The Carroll Group holding the listing.

But take some time to look at some photos of this incredible mansion before we go into the story of Tahiti Beach, Miami’s tucked away corner of Paradise.
Tahiti Beach – Taking ‘exclusive’ up a notch
Tahiti Beach is not your typical South Florida neighborhood. I’d be more accurately described as a private island within a quite prestigious community known as Cocoplum, set within the limits of the historic city of Coral Gables.
It’s seen as a gated community within a gated community, offering only 25 luxury homes along the sparkling blue waters of Biscayne Bay.
Given how private the homes are, it’s no wonder so many ultra-high-net-worth individuals have called Tahiti Beach home.
Athletes like ex-NFL player Jonathan Vilma — who just sold his home down at 17 Tahiti Beach for $14.4M at the beginning of this year — or Ray Allen, who bought a home here after renting a neighboring one, as well as celebrities like Cher were all residents of the area.
Tahiti Beach is also home to one of the most expensive homes in Miami, with neighboring 4 Tahiti Beach Rd being listed for a whopping $45 million.
